The forward most compartment contains the tanks for the foam system. The initial view shows one of the two foam tanks on the port side. The vertical pipe is the water supply to the forward port maneuvering jet.
Boat 4 can deploy foam through 2 large monitors a distance of 360’ for over 11 minutes, or from one large monitor for 22 minutes.
Foam hand lines and supply lines can be taken from the forward manifold in quantities up to nearly 2000 gpm. Off-ship capability allows the vessel to supply foam concentrate to other vessels or land companies. A “Nursing” feature provides Boat 4 the ability to refill its own foam tank, or to pump foam through its system utilizing an off-ship supply.
