LV 605 - Captain's Cabin

The commanding officer was a Chief Warrant Officer, the only commissioned officer aboard. This, the stern, on the lightships, is traditionally “officer’s country” as it is the more comfortable end, getting the least motion when a ship is underway; however, on a ship at anchor it was by far the roughest part. The captain had the most spacious stateroom with an individual basin and bunk. The other two staterooms are similar in layout.
